The original St. Peter’s Cemetery was demolished just prior to 1998. An underground ossuary at St. Peter’s Garden of Remembrance contains over 10,000 Capetonians who are listed on a central cube. There are a small number of gravestones in the Garden which occupies about 3% of the old cemetery.
