No death record however, Ralph Le Fevre writes that Matthew, his wife, and their children were buried on son Conrad's farm in Bloomingdale, near the Rondout and Wallkill creeks.<ref name = New Paltz /> This burying ground apparently no longer exists, the graves and markers lost to time and memory, Matthew's among them.
