== Biography ==A newspaper article stated that there were several fatal cases of diptheria in Hooversville in the six week period surrounding Abby's death. Abby's little shoe was kept in the top drawer of her mother Rachel's dresser. Rachel later gave the dresser to her daughter Annie (Clark) Pepley. After Annie's death in 1935 her husband sold the dresser with the little shoe. Abby is buried in I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Stoystown, Somerset County, PA. Abby is buried beside her half-sister Matilda and near her half-brothers John J.
